Jesus was a disciple maker. While he dwelt among us, he had a singular focus - to gather and equip those men and women who would build his Church. When he ascended into Heaven he left his followers with a clear mandate to follow the example of his own ministry: to make disciples, bring them into the Church, and to teach them to do the same with others. To be a follower of Jesus may begin with being a disciple, but the purpose is also to become a disciple maker. In this short series of messages we will examine what it means to be a disciple, what it means to make disciples, and how we can begin right where we are in our own community.
