KINGDOM BUILDING
What does it mean for his Kingdom to come - for his will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven? Our vision is to demonstrate the gospel of grace by serving one another and our city. Through this, people get a preview of the Kingdom of Heaven even as we experience the true freedom that comes when we live as God intends. We want to do this in such an extravagant and grace-filled way that it demands a gospel explanation.
God is at work all around the world in the same way He is at work here at home - building his Kingdom through disciple-making within local churches. As a local church, we develop disciples in the context of biblical mercy ministry in partnership with the community. As those called to carry the message to the end of the earth, we take part in local and global Kingdom building through the support of church planting around North America and throughout the world.
MISSIONAL COMMUNITIES
Primarily, we serve one another and our city through Missional Communities that meet weekly in our homes. Together we are able to accomplish much more than we could in isolation. With solidarity of purpose we encourage one another, share in our victories, and grow in Christ. Besides, it’s fun!
MINISTRY PARTNERSHIPS
We believe that it’s not necessary to create a number of programs in order to go about God’s work in Lawrenceville. Our Missional Communities are encouraged to partner with local organizations that are already serving our city and county well.
BENEVOLENCE
Occasionally, needs arise that are beyond the ability of a Missional Community to handle on their own. We have a benevolence committee that helps us steward our resources to determine if we are able as a church to meet larger needs within the community.
CHURCH PLANTING
There are a great number of needs around the world and New City Church cannot possibly tend to them all. There is no better way to help a community than to support the planting of local mission-minded churches.
OUR LOCAL FOCUS
Scripture calls all believers to be missionaries. This does not mean we are all meant to travel to foreign nations. There is a particular focus in Scripture on being missional with those right in our midst. At New City Church we desire to be intentional with our neighbors, particularly the widow, the fatherless, and the refugee. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.

RICHARDS MIDDLE SCHOOL
While we minister in many ways and places, New City Church has a definite warm spot in our hearts for Richards Middle School. So much more than just a facility where we used to meet on Sundays, we consider the faculty and administration partners with us as we serve students and their families within our community.
