At New City Church, we do not have many ministry programs that compete with one another for volunteers and resources. Our missional focus is on making, maturing, and multiplying disciplemakers, and thus we find that local ministry is best accomplished within the fellowship that accompanies disciple-making relationships. Within our local area, we have identified several ministry partners who are focused on discipleship in the community or extending God's grace and mercy to those most in need. Our missional communities, discipleship groups, and families or individuals are encouraged to regularly serve alongside our ministry partners.
Youth For Christ
Youth for Christ is an outreach ministry that provides an introduction to the life altering message of Jesus Christ for unchurched youth in a very relational, interactive, and relevant way, so that our students can make an informed decision to follow Jesus and become active members of a local church body.
Upper 90 is a Christian outreach ministry in the Metro Atlanta area (and San Pedro Sula, Honduras) that aims to leverage the platform of the world's sport (futbol | soccer) and the influence of mentor coaches to empower children to WIN on the field and in life.
Lawrenceville Response Center
The Response Center in Lawrenceville is a ministry of Impact 46, and was initially a response to the economic needs that arose in the wake of Covid-19. LRC is an emergency intake center providing rent and utilities assistance, employment assistance, and food assistance for people living in Lawrenceville. This is provided in cooperation with the City of Lawrenceville, the Georgia Center for Opportunity, and the Lawrenceville Co-op Food Bank.
Path United operates community centers inside mobile home parks where children experience the love of Christ through education and positive relationships. Within these community centers, Path United offers programs led by certified teachers and youth development specialists who serve alongside incredible volunteers. This is all made possible through partnerships with park owners, schools, churches, and other non-profits, as well as parents.
Gwinnett County Public Schools
The GCPS Community-Based Mentoring Program operates as a collective team of school counselors, teachers, family members, and the community who together play a role in motivating and engaging with students. The program pairs caring adults with male and female students in grades 4 through 12 to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help them become successful young adults.
GriefShare is a support group that meets weekly and features biblical concepts for healing from grief. Groups are a warm, caring environment that serve as an "oasis" on the long journey through grief. The program includes lessons from grief recovery experts, small group discussion, and a workbook for journaling and personal study exercises.
NCC ADULT SPORTS
NCC Adult Sports is the unofficial official athletic team of New City Church. Folks from New City Church (and folks who are New City adjacent) come together to fellowship, compete in various sports, and have a ton of fun. This is not a church league, not overly competitive (but competitive enough), and is a great way to be in the community. There are men's, women's, and co-ed teams in a variety of sports. Come to play! Come to cheer on the team!
